About The Position

Orthopedic Surgeon looking for a highly motivated individual. This is a clinical position that serves as a team lead, overseeing the day-to-day operations of their assigned clinic team and clinic support staff. DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Interaction with administrative and clinical staff including front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services (when applicable) to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services. Oversees the day-to-day clinic activities and schedule. Schedules patient for surgery and advises patients of pre-surgical requirements to include laboratory orders and/or x-rays. Reviews surgical documents with patients. Maintains surgical schedule and serves as liaison between staff and authorization department. Coordinates scheduling of patients tests and post-ops. Documents patient phone calls, prescription refill messages, and obtains physician signature. Ensures patient phone calls are retrieved and returned in a timely manner. Supervises other clinical support members of the physician's team, including delegating of responsibilities to assure efficient delivery of services. Communicates with staff and physician on a regular basis to ensure quality of service and needs by the physician and patients are successfully met. Coordinates Physician meetings accordingly. EDUCATION: Certified Medical Assistant, Preferred Licensed LVN or RN EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years clinical experience. Must have prior experience in an office setting and clinical knowledge. ABILITIES: Must demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills. Excellent planning, organization and managements skills. Ability to multi-task, works in a fast-paced work environment, and demonstrates team cooperation. Job Type: Full-time - Monday through Friday with a few rotating Saturday mornings. Traveling involved from one clinic to another based on physician schedule. Dependable transportation required. Requirements
