About The Position

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Wound care experience needed . Board certification in wound care needed. Primary focus in patient care.

Requirements

• Education Bachelor’s Degree minimum for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist or RN.
• Master’s degree minimum for Speech Language Pathologists from a recognized college or university.
• Current licensure in the State of Georgia in applicable field of study Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Upon Hire Required
• Wound care experience needed
• Board certification in wound care needed

Nice To Haves

• 2 years previous healthcare experience preferred in a hospital setting Required
• Experience with research and analysis of data Preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, updates, and revises the clinical education program.
• Providing competency assessments and educational/training sessions for staff as well as establishing best practice protocols.
• Having a working knowledge of all aspects of procedures for their specific discipline, as well as policies related to reimbursement.
• Serving on committees for program planning.
• Providing care for a designated group of patients, including evaluations, modalities, and treatments.
• Responsible for the care of patients treated by therapist assistants, technicians, students, and observers.
• Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
