Clinical Compliance Contractor (Contract-to-Hire Opportunity)
About The Position
Eleanor Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Compliance professional to support our national team during a period of significant organizational growth. This is a high-impact contract engagement for someone who works well independently, moves quickly, and brings deep expertise in healthcare compliance — no ramp-up time required. You will contribute directly to Eleanor's licensure, accreditation, and quality functions, supporting our ability to serve patients across existing and new markets. Eleanor Health is actively building its long-term compliance leadership structure, and exceptional contractors may be considered for full-time roles as the organization evolves.
Requirements
- Bring 3–5 years of healthcare compliance experience, ideally in behavioral health, SUD, or outpatient clinical settings
- Have familiarity with CARF accreditation standards
- Have experience researching multi-state clinical licensure requirements
- Are a careful, detail-oriented chart reviewer with strong clinical documentation knowledge
- Write clearly and can translate compliance requirements into organized, practical documentation
- Have project management experience and can manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Are comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Are proficient in G-Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Nice To Haves
- Lean Six Sigma or formal quality improvement training
- Experience in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Athena experience is a plus)
- Active clinical licensure (LCMHC, LCSW, LCAS, or RN)
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with state licensure requirements and CARF accreditation standards across multiple states
- Assist in preparing for external audits and surveys (onsite and virtual); participate in internal mock audits
- Help maintain compliance portals and internal documentation
- Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's policy and procedure library
- Conduct chart audits and document findings for review by compliance leadership
- Support case studies and after-action reviews for critical incidents
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement projects
- Assist in compiling compliance data for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Support compliance training efforts for Eleanor teammates as needed
- Communicate findings and updates clearly to compliance leadership
