About The Position

The College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Clinical Associate Professor (12 Month). The successful candidate will: Support the accreditation process and assists the Dean with strategies planning for the college; and other activities to support the mission of the college. Teach the graduate program Use innovative, active teaching and learning strategies. Advise students in area of doctoral work; mentor students in evidence-based research and scholarship. Evaluate and provide documented feedback on students’ performance. Report to Executive Vice Dean. Engage in scholarly activities. Work in collaboration with other faculty to support the mission of the College of Nursing. Collaborate with the Deans of Faculty Department.

Requirements

Doctoral Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse License
5 years of progressive teaching and academic leadership experience
Excellent communication skills
Evidence of scholarship

Nice To Haves

Evidence of independent and collaborative research and extramural funding
Experience teaching in a DNP Program
Experience in curriculum development and evaluation
Experience teaching in a Distance Education Program
