About The Position

The University of Florida, Department of Emergency Medicine in Gainesville, FL, is seeking a talented, highly motivated, full-time board certified/prepared emergency physician for a joint position in critical care medicine and emergency medicine. This is a non-tenure accruing position. Successful candidates will hold a UF appointment in emergency medicine and will divide their time equally between emergency medicine and critical care medicine. The UF Department of Emergency Medicine is affiliated with UF Health Shands Hospital, a 1,162 bed teaching hospital with a Level 1 trauma center and burn center that serves as the major referral center for North Central Florida. UF’s critical care coverage includes, but is not limited to cardiac critical care, liver transplant/surgical critical care, vascular critical care, and advanced lung critical care. This physician will bring their critical care expertise into the emergency department, assisting with quality improvement, protocol development, and implementation of new standards of care for our sickest patients. From an academic perspective, the successful candidate will have a strong desire to teach trainees at all levels. They will work closely with education and research faculty to build an academic portfolio capable of supporting promotion.   • ABEM/ABOEM Board Certified/Board-Eligible
  • Completed an accredited critical care medicine fellowship

Responsibilities
