About The Position

The Clinical Administrator will be responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the Drug Abuse Research and Treatment Program (DART). They will coordinate and supervise clinical staff, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, collaborate with Chief Financial Officer on clinic expansion and maintain a high level of patient care and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in behavioral health or social science field, healthcare administration, nursing or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, ideally in a clinical setting serving vulnerable populations, like addiction or mental health
  • Knowledge of Methadone and Suboxone treatment and regulations for addiction treatment services
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with medical providers, clinic staff and upper management
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong commitment in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Metasoft systems
  • Physical examination record or pass physical examination by a CAO physician
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and proof of motor vehicle insurance coverage
  • Completion of the following documents: CAO Employment application Drug Screening State Exclusion background checks NYS SCR Clearance Form with acceptable clearance Criminal Record Certification and free of criminal convictions of crimes against children (misdemeanor or felony) Fingerprinting required Release for Reference Checks

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of DART and together with the Administrative Team complete the clinic expansion.
  • Hire train, schedule and evaluate clinical staff
  • Collaborate with Compliance Department to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as SAMHSA, DEA and state licensing agencies, develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained
  • Collaborate with medical providers and ensure patient care plans are being followed and reviewed regularly
  • Manage inventory of medication and supplies, ordering as necessary to maintain adequate levels
  • Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintains accurate and complete patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Develop annual program budget, presents to CFO; Collaborates with on-site accountant to analyze clinic finances, billing and reimbursement process
  • Reviews and evaluates counseling and medical reports along with Medical Director and Supervising Counselor
  • Conducts regular supervisory meetings with Medical Director and leadership of DART Program.
  • Attend meetings and provide updates to upper management on clinic operations and performance
  • Must present a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire.
  • Satisfactory completion of mandatory training(s).
