The position of Clinical Account Executive plays a visible and influential role as the company continues to grow. The Clinical Account Executive is a self-directed marketing professional who has excellent interpersonal skills and can successfully promote the Company’s services, so referral sources consistently choose AOM Infusion (AOM) over competing companies. Additionally responsible for the clinical management for an assigned group of patients. Responsible for providing/performing patient related nursing services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • A registered nurse licensed, currently registered in state working in and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in home care or home infusion therapy with management experience.
  • Good communication skills, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work as a team with marketing, clinical and reimbursement personnel to achieve patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated excellence with presentation skills.
  • Proficient with computers using standard Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Marketing experience in the sales and service of home infusion services, home care or specialty injectables is highly desirable.
  • Successful marketing experience and a clinical degree are also highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain referral information and coordinate all patient care services for an assigned group of patients with other members of the health care team. Review referrals for completeness.
  • Obtain initial orders/prescription for care.
  • Complete initial Welcome Call with the patient to determine medical needs, functional limitations and willingness to participate in care. In conjunction with pharmacy, determine the appropriate administration method for prescribed therapy.
  • Document all conversations with patient/family member/provider in Specialty Pharmacy Operating System.
  • Maintain accurate and complete information in the Specialty Pharmacy Business Operating System systems for assigned groups of patients including, but not limited to demographic information, medical information (height and weight, diabetes status, past medical history), nursing care provider, contact persons.
  • Provide clinical support to the patient.
  • Participate in patient care rounds to discuss pending referrals, current patients and clinical issues.
  • Participates in yearly competencies as directed by nursing leadership.
  • The Account Executive is responsible for creating an overall marketing plan that follows and supports the Company’s sales objectives.
  • With the support of the Chief Sales Officer the Account Executive uses a marketing plan to guide daily activities and achieve quota and budget goals.
  • The Account Executive acts as the primary liaison between branch personnel and referral sources during the patient intake process.
  • The Account Executive is responsible for managing all administrative forms and communications required during patient intake process.
  • The Account Executive participates in quality assurance processes through reviews, meetings, reports and observation of results.
  • The Account Executive is responsible for providing feedback to management regarding sales issues, and referral source or patient complaints.
  • Attend training classes and complete sales assignments as required.
  • Responsible for attending industry and patient support meetings.
