About The Position

Responsible for providing professional support and direct supervision of clinic team members. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating high quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors in nursing or a healthcare-related field required, Masters preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two-year clinic experience required.
  • Other Requirements: Current Indiana licensed in healthcare-related field. Requires basic life support certification through the AHA.
  • Knowledge of professional regulations for clinical team members with direct supervisions to include Medical Assistants, Certified Surgical Technicians, License Practical Nurses, Athletic Trainers, and Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
  • Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination.
  • Skill in initiating appropriate crisis interventions and emergency response.
  • Excellence in customer service and service recovery.
  • Experience with performance evaluation and feedback processes.
  • Skill in provider staff coaching, feedback, and development of performance improvement plans.
  • Ability to engage patients and families in the development and implementation of a care plan.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare management software.
  • Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to clinic staff.
  • Maintain timecard requests and approvals.
  • Approve time off requests and manage daily staffing assignments for designated clinical locations.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Tracks quality assurance data.
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new clinic staff. Provide feedback and support the professional growth of clinic team.
  • Interact with patients’, physicians and other staff within the clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.
  • Coordinate processes and timing as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
  • Support clinical staffing needs as needed to ensure patient care requirements are met.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and maintaining medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Work with leadership team to manage operational expenses.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to develop and implement clinical protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Staff and facilitate clinics as needed.
