About The Position

Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and Logan Health MAU/UAP scope of practice. Provides administrative support and works collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. This role is ideal for someone passionate about phlebotomy who is interested in expanding their clinical skill set through Medical Assistant training. You’ll primarily focus on phlebotomy while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment that values learning, growth, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) preferred OR we will train candidates with:
  • Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience
  • CNA, EMT, PCA, or other relevant healthcare experience
  • A strong interest in patient care and professional development

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy duties for clinic patients (approximately 90% of the role)
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • Collect, label, and process laboratory specimens
  • Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and ensure equipment is properly disinfected
  • Support clinic operations, including patient flow, documentation, and scheduling as needed
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and care team members
