About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Primary Care & Walk-In Clinic team on a PRN basis. In this role, you’ll work alongside Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Medical Assistants to deliver high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages—from infants to seniors. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about triage, hands-on nursing care, and collaboration within a skilled medical team.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN License or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana; required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current HCP CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications may be required in certain departments; must be obtained within six (6) months of hire if applicable.
  • Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills; ability to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Triage & Patient Assessment: Evaluate walk-in patients upon check-in, identify concerning symptoms, and escalate care as appropriate.
  • Nursing Care: Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, catheter care, injections, and Point-of-Care testing; assist in imaging setup.
  • Clinic Flow Support: Room patients, assist providers, and direct patients to the ER when necessary.
  • Provider Collaboration: Work closely with 3–4 providers per day to ensure efficient, coordinated patient care.
  • Patient Volume Management: Support a high-volume clinic (50–100 patients daily) with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Team Contribution: Collaborate with medical assistants and fellow nurses to maintain a smooth, patient-centered workflow.
