About The Position

The Clinic Floater shall serve children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by providing in-person support in the clinic setting including delivering applied behavior analysis services under the direction and supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as well as assisting the Clinic Supervisor with administrative tasks. The clinic floaters are responsible for maintaining their RBT credential and providing one-to-one, treatment interventions to consumers in homes, community settings and AAH clinics. The clinic floater hybrid role involves a consistent weekly schedule with assigned clients as well as filling in as needed during “floater” hours. The clinic floater is required to arrive at the clinic for agreed upon hours whether they are filling in for a client or “floating”.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Behavior Technician credentialed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or complete the 40-hour RBT training curriculum and meet the following requirements:
  • At least 18 years old and have at minimum completed high school or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a passion for working with children with disabilities
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certifications or willing to obtain certifications within 20 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Work with clinic clients as needed when scheduling necessitates it (staff cancellations, etc.)
  • Provide individualized treatment to consumers with autism as defined within treatment and behavior plans and under the supervision of a BCBA
  • Implement skill acquisition programs as directed by the BCBA
  • Implement behavior reduction interventions and programming with individual consumers
  • Utilize Central Reach practice management system to record, collect and maintain clinical data.
  • Maintain a daily assigned schedule for each child to ensure individualized behavioral needs are met
  • Attend and participate in necessary meetings, supervision and training as required
  • Adhere to the rights of consumers in all activities and interactions involving persons participating in Autism Behavioral Institute programs.
  • Successfully demonstrates understanding and implementation of required Evidenced Based Practices utilized.
  • Completes all session notes and required documents the same day services were rendered
  • Arrives on time for scheduled sessions and communicates with ABI staff regarding any changes or variance that may prohibit you from working your assigned shift
  • Maintain all administrative and/or clinical records required in a clear, complete, accurate, and legible manner
  • Open/Close office as needed under direction from Clinic Supervisor.
  • Assist Clinic Supervisor and BCBAs with task completion across a variety of areas, including but not limited to: material creation/organization, schedule maintenance, organizing activities/events, housekeeping
  • Other duties and job responsibilities that may change from time to time based upon the needs of the organization and program requirements.
