About The Position

Client Service Supervisor At their assigned branch location(s), the Client Service Supervisor (CSS) is responsible for the following: the overall branch operation, security compliance, CSR balancing, management of cash levels, CSR (teller) and Customer Service responsibilities, client problem resolution, procedures and policies; reporting on operating functions; assisting with audits; training staff on procedural changes/practices at branch meetings; overseeing management of the branch operations in the Retail Managers absence. The responsibility may include supporting multiple locations and requires flexibility in travel to alternative locations. The Client Service Supervisor is responsible for modeling a high standard for sales and service to both internal and external clients. Provides leadership through coaching/developing/retaining top talent and holding them accountable for achieving assigned sales and service goals. Provides coaching and feedback to staff to enhance cross sales/referral efforts by continually assessing individual skill levels. Assists the Retail Manager in communicating bank wide information including the Bank strategic plan, supporting initiatives and other essential information to your team to enhance their engagement, contributing to a stronger more profitable bank. Collaborates with the Retail Manager to assist in growing the branch deposit base by maintaining superior sales and service skills and providing excellent client service on the full range of Bank products. Opens deposit accounts using the bank’s platform system; including, but not limited to, business and personal checking, savings and CD’s as well as IRA products. In the absence of a Retail Manager, the Client Service Supervisor is responsible for making effective decisions regarding operations and for resolving complex client concerns. Identify clients in need of Commercial, BGS, Invest and Portland Trust Company products and services and refers them to appropriate business lines to assist then in achieving their financial goals Supports and performs teller transactions and duties based on the needs of the branch Ensures branch is open and ready to conduct business each business day, which includes handling the weekly branch schedule. Management and decision making of daily branch overdrafts. Ensure all branch procedures and practices are always compliant with State and Federal regulations and Bank policies. Collaborate with Retail Operations Manager on various projects and initiatives to enhance client satisfaction, processes and procedures. Performs related duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 1-2+ years of experience as a bank SR.CSR or equivalent work experience
  • Proven communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire and ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software
  • Demonstrates strong product knowledge through explaining features and benefits of each product/service.
  • Ability to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.
