About The Position

Client Reporting & Insights Intern Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a summer intern to join the Client Reporting & Insights team. This position is located in our New York, NY office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote. Job Overview: This position will work with internal stakeholders to understand campaign performance and deliver insights about our marketing tactics. They will learn to use Google Suit & Analytics and be exposed to Data Visualization tools, with opportunities to both report results out as well as investigate data anomalies and impacts on overall performance. This position will be responsible for helping to compile regular clients data reporting. Responsibilities include the preparation of the data for regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports.

Requirements

  • Interest in learning new analytical tools
  • Yearn to ask questions to gain a better understanding of a concept or the data, and the business questions they answer
  • Ability to think creatively about challenging problems
  • Be capable to collect and organize data with attention to detail and accuracy, such as the ability to identify extreme outliers and understand their cause
  • Familiarity with the basic concepts of web analytics (page views, visit/session, visitor, referrer, time on site)
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel basic functions (sum, count, sort, filter)
  • Senior preferred; candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to and from work

Responsibilities

  • Work with various teams to understand client needs and use existing tools to come up with applicable reports using first party and third party data
  • Create, update and distribute reports from internal platforms for digital programs, live and virtual events, webcasts and podcasts, lead generation campaigns, etc. to clients
  • Ability to retrieve, collect and evaluate large amount of data
  • Looking for anomalies in the data and determining a potential cause
  • QA and validate reports by reviewing data from multiple sources to assure clients receive accurate data
