About The Position

Butterfly Effects, LLC, a nationwide ABA informed Therapy Provider, is seeking a passionate Client Collections Specialist. This role is for individuals eager to leverage their experience and skills within a mission-driven healthcare organization, providing excellent service to families across the country. The Billing and Collections Specialist will join a team dedicated to maintaining customer satisfaction through superior customer service and accurate, timely invoicing. Key aspects of the role include collecting accurate payments, resolving outstanding payor account balances, and ensuring consistent, comprehensive, and timely invoicing for all assigned clients. The specialist will also respond to incoming calls and mail from payors regarding account balances and ensure compliance with insurance and HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities with professionalism, responsiveness, accuracy, and critical thinking, while fostering a team-friendly attitude. As a national leader in ASD treatment, Butterfly Effects employs over 100 board-certified behavior analysts (BCBA) and 800 behavior technicians across 12 states, with a corporate office in Deerfield Beach, Florida, housing leadership and administrative staff supporting various operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of claim denials, the ability to read and understand explanation of benefits (EOBs).
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including active listening.
High level of commitment/ownership to ones work product.
Commitment to self-accountability, collaboration, and teamwork.
Critical thinking, with a drive for continuous process and system improvement.
Commitment to service excellence philosophy and interdisciplinary therapy for clients on the Autism spectrum.

Responsibilities

Collect outstanding balances from clients.
Follow up clients questions regarding invoices in a timely manner.
Follow-up with clients on their questions regarding benefits, client responsibility and payment plans.
Verify patients benefits for ABA Therapy either in-network, or out of network to assist with proper client collections and claim follow up.
Identify and address concerns before they become problems, and to propose solutions to concerns.
Work with the field staff and office staff to ensure client satisfaction.
