About The Position

Provides entry-level clerical support for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), including processing, communicating, creating, and maintaining various files.

Requirements

Two (2) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work; AND
High school diploma or possess a GED; OR
One (1) year of appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work experience and one (1) year of college study (30 semester hours or 36 quarters) from an accredited college or university.
PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license or secure one upon date of employment.
Must have daily access to an operable automobile and meet county requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment.
Must be able to travel to other locations.

Responsibilities

Prepare necessary paperwork for participants at the scheduled Senior Living facilities for CSFP distribution.
Screen participants to determine eligibility for CSFP services.
Register new participants in the Link2Feed system who meet the eligibility criteria.
Re-certify participants in Link2Feed every two years to determine if they still qualify for the program.
Identify and visit homebound participants to certify or re-certify for CSFP eligibility.
Greets customers and answers questions by telephone or in person regarding departmental policies, procedures, and work functions for CSFP.
Prepare daily reports utilizing Link2feed to ensure all participants were processed completely.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetable vouchers for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
Distributes authorized documents or materials as required.
Operates office equipment to improve departmental efficiency.
Performs other related duties as required or directed.
