Clerical/Events Support Specialist

About The Position
This is a supervisor position that is responsible for ensuring the level of service and standards of the University of Utah Stadium and Arena Food Services are met on a consistent basis. Supporting the kitchen staff with up to date information about upcoming events. Communicating with clients about their needs at their events. Supervising service during events.
Requirements
- Menu Planning
- Knowledge of food and beverage products and cooking procedures
- Health and safety rules, regulations, and laws
- Extensive customer service experience is a must
- Ability to effectively to communicate with staff
- Experience managing fast paced food operations
- Ability to work with in a team environment
- Must be able to work late evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Must be able to speak and understand English
- Exposed to continuous walking, standing, and twisting
- Exposed to intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing stairs
- One year customer service or related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills; and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities
- Responsible to meet with staff and go through the details of the event
- Menu planning and supervision of menu execution during events
- Invoice clients once events have been completed
- All other duties as assigned
