About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points as needed. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for an aerospace and defense setting.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production and office areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorization, monitoring doors and gates, and directing visitors and deliveries according to location requirements.
  • Support facility operations by monitoring security-related systems, completing required logs and reports, and coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and/or location contacts as needed.
