About The Position

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our Export, PA location. POSITION-Classroom Assistant III or II Classroom Assistant III Bachelors (Required) PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required) Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred) Classroom Assistant II Associates (Required) Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Classroom Assistant Planning and implementing activities to enhance students skills. Assisting in implementing the students IEP. Providing a safe and accepting classroom. Providing 1:1 instruction as needed. Assisting in the instructional program, integration program and behavior management of students BENEFITS Work hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6-hours days. Working only 30 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The starting rate for the Classroom Assistant III is $23.00. The starting rate for the Classroom Assistant II is $20.00. We do offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well. Comprehensive Benefits package. 401k options offered. Requirements

• Bachelors (Required)
• PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
