Job Summary The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a classified Windows system administrator with experience deploying, operating and maintaining corporate server infrastructure at an enterprise scale. You will be part of the Computational Services team that oversees the enterprise and technical server and storage platforms for the Aerospace Corporation. The team oversees thousands of enterprise and high-performance computing systems both on-premise and in the cloud. We work with rocket scientists and engineers to develop cutting edge solutions to complex space enterprise problems and to assure mission success of critical national space assets. In your role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our enterprise server infrastructure, both virtual and physical, ensuring system security and operational best practice. You will be working and collaborating with other cross-functional team members who all have a strong sense of shared responsibility and ownership. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum (2) years of experience in enterprise Windows administration including provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening for classified and unclassified enterprise environments is required
  • Minimum (1) year of enterprise virtualization experience with either VMware or Hyper-V is required
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with all stakeholders
  • Possesses robust organizational and time management abilities, enabling efficient prioritization and execution of tasks
  • Exhibits flexibility and adaptability in response to evolving organizational needs and dynamic work environments
  • Upholds a strong sense of ownership, delivers exceptional customer service, and maintains the highest level of personal and professional integrity
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570.01-m requirements for IAT Level II personnel such as CompTIA Security+ certification is required
  • This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required
  • Minimum (3 years in enterprise Windows administration including provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening for classified and unclassified enterprise environments is required
  • Minimum (3) years of experience supporting an enterprise-scale Windows environment that includes NFS or Windows file system shares and Active Directory integration is required

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/ Technology, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks with scripting or DevOps tools such as Puppet, Powershell DSC, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform or Python.
  • Windows: MS SQL Always-On-Cluster
  • VMware ESXi, vCenter and high availability services
  • Hyper-V and Windows Admin Center
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Windows systems in air-gapped environments is preferred

Responsibilities
