About The Position

This position is for a Class A Driver Mentor who will train new drivers. The role involves traveling and working Over-The-Road (OTR) with students, guiding them through their initial driving experience. Mentors are compensated for all miles the truck drives, both their own and their student's. The typical OTR mentor run is 11 days, allowing for good home time. The role also includes attending a top-tier mentor training program in Arkansas, which is a Mon-Thurs schedule with provided meals and pay upon completion. Mentors are expected to have a professional attitude and a desire to lead the next generation of drivers.

Requirements

CDL-A license with clean driving record
Able to travel and work OTR
Professional attitude & desire to lead the next generation of drivers
3+ Months experience
Must live within 90 miles of Orlando

Responsibilities

Train new drivers
Travel and work OTR
Lead the next generation of drivers
Observe students on Day 1 of the mentor run
Ensure students drive at least 5 hours per day from Day 2-11 of the mentor run
Utilize the 14-hour clock to run additional miles after the student drives 5 hours
Take a week off or run solo between students (recommended rest)
Complete an online training checklist for structured mentoring
