This role is for a Class A CDL Trainer/Mentor responsible for training new drivers. Mentors are compensated for every mile the truck drives, including their own and their student's miles. The typical Over-The-Road (OTR) mentor run is 11 days total, followed by 2 days home. During the 11-day run, the first day is dedicated to observation, and on days 2-11, the student must drive at least 5 hours per day. After the student completes their 5 hours, the mentor has the option to drive for the remainder of the 14-hour clock to accumulate more miles. It is recommended for mentors to take a week to run solo between students. The position offers various bonuses for student completion and performance. After successfully training 6 students, mentors can achieve Elite Mentor status, which provides an additional $0.01 CPM for every mile their student drives in their first solo year at PAM. Mentor training is provided in Arkansas, running Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with free hot breakfast and lunch provided, and an $850 payment upon completion.
