Our diversified business model includes program partnerships as well as direct sales in Employer Stop Loss. At year-end 2024, the MBU recorded $746M in gross premium written. The role of Claims Support Specialist is a unique opportunity to work with a high-quality team of leaders and benefit from the security and stability of a large organization while maintaining a nimble and responsive approach to business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating claims intake, assisting the claims team, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring compliance. This role is instrumental in supporting effective claims handling. Strong preference for the candidate to be located in the Phoenix metro area, but open to remote for the right candidate. We are hiring for two positions on this team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ office experience required; medical claims experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with an aptitude to learn new programs (DY/ESL Office experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and satisfaction

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Enter claim submissions into the claims management system
  • Monitor and manage claim and notice inboxes
  • Upload and flag supporting documentation for review by the Claims Examiner team
  • Enter various types of claim notices (50%, trigger, case management) into the claim system
  • Identify complex and/or catastrophic claim notices and escalate to leadership as necessary
  • Refer relevant cases to the Cost Containment team
  • Maintain thorough reporting and open communication with Supervisor regarding assigned areas of responsibility

  • Other duties as assigned
