The Claims Assistant is an administrative support position within the Standard Security claims department. Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately file claimant specific information into the DocuWare system with oversight and manger interaction when needed. Accurately inputting Paid Family Leave and Disability claims into the system with oversight and manger interaction when needed. Open and distribute incoming mail. Supporting multiple incoming faxes. Supporting multiple incoming /outgoing emails with oversight and manger interaction when needed. Maintaining adherence to all department standards (policies, procedures, schedules, and assignments). Responsible and accountable for maintaining and protecting personal health information. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and abide by HIPAA rules and regulations.
