As a Claims Analyst, you will play a key role in processing and pay life, disability, and waiver of premium claims within established guidelines, including determining in‑force coverage, obtaining required documentation, verifying completeness, and calculating payable benefits (death benefits, interest, dividends, premium variances, fund interest, etc.). Requirements

  • Stands out for their strong computer/MS Office skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Is recognized for their adaptability to procedural and organizational changes.
  • Has 2 years of Claims experience and holds high school diploma or GED.
  • Has the ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on beneficiaries, medical documentation, legal records, and other essential information required for claims decisions.
  • Process paid incontestable claims, including all related correspondence, accounting, and file maintenance.
  • Approve claims with payouts up to $20,000 during the probationary period, with potential for higher thresholds based on performance.
  • Communicate with customers through inbound/outbound calls, written correspondence, and email to ensure successful claim processing
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
