What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll manage a dedicated portfolio of commercial liability claims, using your analytical skills and customer-focused mindset to drive each claim toward fair, timely resolution. Additional Role Details Focused primarily on healthcare-related commercial liability claims Policies range up to $1M (higher-severity claims up to $10M exist but are typically handled by internal staff) 6-month contract-to-hire; potential for direct hire depending on business needs Team support is needed due to several employees currently on leave

Requirements

  • Commercial claims processing
  • Insurance claim management
  • Medical or healthcare-related claim experience

Nice To Haves

  • General liability, medical malpractice, auto claims, or similar commercial insurance experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations, including recorded statements
  • Analyze key facts to determine liability, compensability, and exposure
  • Review and interpret commercial insurance policies
  • Verify coverage and establish accurate, responsible reserves
  • Develop and negotiate settlement strategies
  • Authorize payments within established authority levels
  • Maintain detailed, compliant claim files
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and state/local regulations
  • Serve as a trusted contact for insureds, brokers, and claimants
  • Provide clear updates and help resolve questions throughout the process
