Overview Scout Motors is seeking a Claims Analyst / Claims Advocate to join our Insurance & Risk Management team. In this role, you’ll manage and advocate for Scout Motors’ interests in all insurance-related claims, including property, casualty, liability, auto, and workers’ compensation. You’ll work closely with internal teams— Corporate, Production, Retail, and HR —as well as brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure timely reporting, accurate documentation, and effective resolution of claims.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in insurance claims handling or risk management (manufacturing or automotive preferred). CGL and WC experience a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Claims reporting and claims review expertise
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers and insurance brokers
  • Experience with RMIS (Risk Management Information Systems)
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all insurance claims.
  • Report, track, and monitor claims from initiation to resolution.
  • Advocate for Scout Motors in negotiations with carriers, brokers, and TPAs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive claims database and provide regular reporting.
  • Investigate incidents, gather documentation, and prepare claim summaries.
  • Review claims for accuracy, coverage applicability, and compliance.
  • Identify trends in claims data and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate claim status and outcomes to internal stakeholders across Corporate, Production, Retail, EHS and HR .
