About The Position

Learning begins in the classroom but there's no better place to gain real-world experience than with Stantec. Interns are an integral part of our teams, working to solve some of the world's most complex challenges. As an intern, you'll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success. Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to assist our growing roadway, planning, traffic, and bridge groups. Candidates should be technical thinkers with beginner level experience with design/construction. Must be able to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers at all levels to deliver quality plans to clients. Positions will be based out of various locations in the Gulf States.

Requirements

Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation software preferred
Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to work independently and in a group.
Ability to multitask and work effectively at a fast pace.
Willingness to learn new skills and interface collaboratively with a large and experienced team across all levels and disciplines.
Self-motivated.
College class work in Civil Engineering and current status as Civil Engineering student working towards a bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation software preferred

Responsibilities

CAD drafting
Perform design calculations
Assist in developing engineering estimates
May sometimes need to assist with deliveries or field work
Other entry level engineering duties, as needed
