About The Position

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering II in Akron, OH. Job details: Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, plan preparation, and cost estimates. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. assisting senior project engineers and project managers on projects related to civil design, such as waterlines, landfills, pump stations and force mains, earthwork/grading, roadway, engineering cost estimates and other related civil work. May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and no experience.
  • Civil 3D, Excel, HELP Model, HydroCAD, HEC HMS, ICPR or similar ArcGIS and 3-GIS
  • Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
  • Bluebeam, Revit, Autodesk Navisworks and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Preparing NPDES permit documents including SWPPP
  • Developing sediment and erosion control plans
  • Developing construction plans and technical specifications
  • Grading, slope stability, pipe networks with basic knowledge on landfills and pond closures
  • Engineer in Training certification or ability to obtain an Engineer in Training certification
