About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering, Philadelphia, PA. Job details: Provide technical leadership to teams working on medium to large scale transportation projects Develop design criteria, horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail design, and spot elevation details Develop rigid and flexible pavement designs Prepare signing and pavement marking plans and details Prepare construction phasing plans and develop maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions based on interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needs Develop construction specifications, quantities, and cost estimates Implement 3D CADD modeling techniques Develop technical reports, tables, and graphics per client and/or internal AECOM standards Adhere to and promote AECOM quality procedures Complete interdisciplinary technical reviews Contribute to internal project-related staffing decisions to facilitate meeting client schedule, scope, and budget Prepare presentations that explain technical findings, recommendations, and limitations Work collaboratively as part of a larger design team to proactively meet the client’s scope, budget, and schedule through ethical and responsible decision making Provide support to AECOM project managers and department managers Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 3 years experience as Design Engineer, Civil Engineer, Transportation Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 5 years of experience in a related occupation.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain the license within one year of employment.
  • Experience in the following: OpenRoads Designer; AutoTURN; AASHTO, PROWAG, and HCM Manuals; Bluebeam; AutoCAD; AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation; HEC-RAS; HCS; ArcGIS; and GEOPAK.

Responsibilities
