Position Overview: We are seeking a Civil Engineer (EIT or PE) specializing in water/wastewater design to join a rapidly growing firm in Austin, TX . This role offers the chance to work on municipal water/wastewater projects , including treatment plants, pump stations, and distribution systems, with opportunities for career advancement and leadership development .

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Licensure: EIT required for junior roles, PE required for senior roles.
  • Experience: EIT: 1+ years in municipal water/wastewater design (drainage experience a plus).
  • PE: 5+ years in water/wastewater design, including project management/construction administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, ArcGIS, or similar hydraulic modeling software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organization, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with drainage design, permitting, or Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) in Texas (preferred).
  • Project management or municipal client coordination experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • For EIT: Assist in designing water/wastewater systems , including plans, specs, and reports.
  • Support project deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with teams on treatment plants, pump stations, and distribution systems .
  • For PE: Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and progress updates .
  • Oversee construction administration (submittals, contracts, bidding).
  • Supervise EITs, drafters, subcontractors, and inspectors .
  • Ensure compliance with municipal standards and regulations .
