About The Position

Engineering firm that's been in business for decades is looking for a Civil Engineer Department Manager for their Parsippany, New Jersey office!

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 12+ years of leadership, project management and client management experience
• Extensive design experience with a focus on site development projects
• Thorough understanding of entitlement processes
• PE License
• Be established in area with existing relationships in the municipal and private sector
• Manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of municipal engineering principles/practices
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autoturn, hydrology & hydraulics software packages and MS Office Suite
• Current involvement in professional networking organizations
• Strong skills as a presenter

Responsibilities

• Develop/manage Civil Engineering team
• Restructure department to operate effectively in various markets
• Oversee project design
• Coordinate multi-discipline project tasks for site development projects
• Develop site layout/design (site grading/storm drainage, roadway, water/sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control)
• Ensure high quality projects are completed on time and on budget
• Perform project administration duties
• Coordinate project with other departments
• Establish financial performance goals
• Develop annual business plan to assist in the firm’s growth
• Build/maintain client relationships
