McAlvain Construction, a Big-D Company, has an opportunity for an experienced Civil Construction Project Engineer to join our team of construction professionals based in the Boise, ID area. Makes responsible fiscal decisions in conjunction with the project manager. Oversee/Review the operational efficiency of McAlvain civil work. Efficiencies and areas for improvement measured through labor production report. Understands subcontractor’s scopes of work and develops a positive mutual working relationship with trade partners while ensuring successful execution of the project scope. Takes a lead role in planning, direction, and training of company quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) functions. Ensure that project is maintaining a complete set of up-to-date electronic contract documents, shop drawings, and “as built” / record drawings”. Ensure that documentation of project progress per company Photographic Documentation and Daily/Weekly Construction Reporting policies. Ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality project close out procedures. All project information is channeled through, distributed by, and saved by the project engineer.
