About The Position

The Student Operations & Communications Assistant supports the Center for Innovation in Research on Teaching (CIRT) by assisting with academic journal workflows, webpage updates, communications support, and daily administrative operations. This position provides professional experience in higher education operations and content support within a collaborative office environment.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Interest in higher education operations, communications, or content support
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master-level student
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University

Nice To Haves

  • Basic familiarity with content or design tools preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the academic journal management cycle, including submission tracking, correspondence support, and content preparation
  • Support routine webpage updates and content organization using university-approved platforms
  • Assist with communications-related tasks such as formatting content, preparing visuals, and updating online resources
  • Provide administrative support including document organization, workflow tracking, and record maintenance
  • Collaborate with CIRT staff on faculty-facing resources, initiatives, and special projects
  • Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned
