About The Position

To vapor degrease parts, load, and unload parts from racks, inspect parts and in some cases, package parts.

Requirements

  • Skill to inspect and hang parts correctly which can be learned on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads parts into the vapor degreaser baskets and machine, with the ability to operate the vapor degreaser process.
  • Loads and unloads parts on the appropriate racks for plating and transports parts to and from the plating area as required.
  • Determine accurate piece count in the container using hand or weight count and keep accurate production records.
  • Locates and retrieves parts to the plating line and locates the parts into inventory after the plating process.
  • Inspects individual parts for quality against established standards prior to and after plating and reports problems promptly to the Manufacturing Engineer – Plating, Manufacturing Coordinator or Manufacturing Manager.
  • Keeps accurate scrap information and records that data.
  • Keeps racks & bars clean and requests repairs as needed.
  • Helps maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents.
  • Always follow established safety procedures and policies.
  • Handles parts in a way that will not damage the part or finish.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.
  • Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision, and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.
