About The Position

To load parts in barrels or on racks in preparation for zinc plating, to unload, inspect, dry and package various parts.

• Ability to lift and carry parts.
• Attention to detail is important to ensure parts are properly plated and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads parts in barrels or on the appropriate racks for zinc plating.
• Ensuring that parts are properly hung on racks or secured in barrels to prevent them from damage.
• Determine the accurate piece count in the container using by hand or weight count, transport parts to and from the plating area and keep accurate production records.
• Locates and retrieves parts to be plated and after plating locates the parts into inventory.
• Checks parts for quality against established standards prior to and after plating and reports problems promptly to the Manufacturing Engineer – Plating, Manufacturing Coordinator or Manufacturing Manager.
• Keeps barrels and racks clean and requests repairs as needed.
• Helps maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents.
• Follow established safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Handle parts in a way that will not damage the part or finish.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
• Maintains a good attendance record.
