About The Position

This person will assist the administration team at the Children's Learning Center (CLC) with daily operations, procedures, activities, special projects and other duties as assigned, related to their major. Must complete at least 175 hours of work over the course of one academic semester to satisfy internship requirements. Internship will be offered every fall and spring semester and will vary in length from 13-15 weeks throughout Fall semester (August - December) and/or Spring semester (January - May). Intern must be available to work between 12-15 hours per week during regular business hours, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Current Penn College student.
  • Current Physical with TB Test.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
  • Sensitivity to the expectations of staff, faculty and members of the assigned department.
  • Sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Functional ability with computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolled in program in Human Services & Restorative Justice, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline.
  • Completion of prior field-related internship and/or prior experience in other areas of higher education or human services.
