About The Position

The Learning Experience of Horizon West is seeking a passionate Child Care Director to join their preschool family and help create a nurturing, fun, and inspiring environment for little learners. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a passion for early childhood education, a talent for inspiring a team of dedicated educators with enthusiasm and vision, and believes in the power of creating a positive impact on children, their families, and the communities of Horizon West and Winter Garden. At The Learning Experience, early education is made joyful, engaging, and fun, ensuring children are happy to learn, play, and grow. The curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development, engaging children in hands-on learning activities that encourage exploration and problem-solving at their own rate. This approach forms a foundation for children to Learn, Play, and Grow under the care of nurturing teachers and staff. TLE® utilizes a full cast of characters who become educators, partners, and friends throughout the preschool education journey, each with a unique personality and area of interest, bringing learning to life through fun and imagination.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in early childhood education
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with families, staff and the community
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • A passion for creating a positive and engaging preschool experience
  • Business and enrollment management expertise
  • Three or more years of child care and daycare center leadership/management experience
  • State specific Administrative or Director credential, and any other state specific guidelines for the role
  • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (highly preferred)

Responsibilities
