About The Position

The Childcare Coordinator will lead a team of Childcare Workers and Supervisors, guiding children in their spiritual development. This role involves partnering with staff and families to support and care for children attending various CRCC programs, fostering a Christ-centered team environment for spiritual and professional growth among Childcare staff. The coordinator will also collaborate with CRCC Ministry leaders to develop programs that ensure a safe, welcoming environment where every child's basic needs are met and they can learn about Jesus.

  • Has demonstrated an ability to communicate clearly and effectively to employees, families, and kids from various backgrounds.
  • Understands and is able to enforce the current guidelines of a childcare facility, within CRCC context including; regulations, ratios, emergency procedures, and any other safety issues.
  • Can immediately champion the CRCC culture and values as described in the employee handbook.
  • Agreement with CRCC Doctrinal Statements as described in the employee handbook.
  • Passionately pursuing Jesus, and demonstrates a willingness to/history of making disciples.
  • Coachable and approachable.
  • Relates well with others and can emotionally show up well for those around them.
  • Deeply cares for kids, and recognizes their place in God’s Kingdom as the next generation of disciple makers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee childcare workers performance and development.
  • Interview and hire applicants, in partnership with other staff members, with the goal of building a team and environment of people dedicated to serving the next generation.
  • Enthusiastically help to create a safe and fun environment for all kids attending CRCC programs.
  • As needed, assist with the creation, training, and execution of any content or curriculum that is to be carried out by Childcare Workers.
  • Partner with parents/families, and direct supervisor, to continually improve and create a safe and engaging environment for kids.
  • Create and publish schedules for all Childcare staff, for CRCC programs, no less than 4 weeks in advance.
  • When necessary, make every effort to accommodate last minute requests or special events from Ministry Leaders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistent professional relationship with all Childcare Workers through various methods, including but not limited to; Monthly Team Meetings, Quarterly Trainings, Bi-annual employee reviews, 1-to-1 meetings (as needed), relational calls/texts, and intentional connection when on site.
  • Complete all regular clerical work, including but not limited to; Payroll every 2 weeks, financial spreadsheet every 2 weeks, responding to emails in a timely manner, communicating/ordering any necessary resources/materials/snacks as needed.
  • Attend all staff meetings, Family Team meetings, staff retreat, trainings, reviews, and all other meetings as directed.
  • Maintain a consistent “in-office” schedule, outside of program operation, meeting a minimum of 10 office hours per week, to participate in the CRCC DNA and culture, and ensure effective and consistent communication with Ministry leaders.
  • Consistently maintain a minimum of 18 worker hours per week, including all office hours and program operation.
