About The Position

The Child Safety Lead Practitioner provides expert leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based child safety services. The role is responsible for building practice capability within the specific service delivery context. Working closely with regional service delivery managers, the Lead Practitioner ensures the localised implementation of practice improvement initiatives that align with best-practice standards. The role drives and supports change, continuous learning, and service enhancement to improve outcomes for children and families in regional settings. This position operates under the guidance of the Principal Practitioner. Additionally, the role contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional practice frameworks, policy, governance, and practice review processes within regional service delivery contexts.

Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
  • Satisfy a pre-employment check including conviction checks (crimes of violence, sex related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, serious traffic offences), identification check, and disciplinary actions in previous employment check

  • Postgraduate qualifications in child protection, leadership, or practice development
  • Current Driver’s Licence
