This position is based at the board of education and will fill in at a school cafeteria when a manager is absent. Essential Duties: Provides technical assistance to the CN Director, school managers, and staff to implement/monitor program goals and objectives. Responsible for payroll of School Nutrition Department, and monitor time sheets/leave for School Nutrition employees. Assist Administrative Assistant for School Nutrition in all duties. Assist in new employee training, annual reviews of SN breakfast & lunch. Assist with procuring foods and supplies, following established procedures and keeping weekly orders. Assist with keeping records of price comparisons for requests for quotes and developing bids for supplies/groceries. Assist with emergency and accident reporting and prevention. Working knowledge of equipment use and care in the food service cafeterias. Assist with FMX requests for repairs to equipment. Ability to communicate well with parents, school/program staff, vendors, and the general public. Working knowledge of POS/Financial software programs (Meals Plus/LINQ Financial software). Responsible for monthly bank reconciliation, purchase orders, generating checks and ordering deposit slips, etc. Assists with FC1A, assuring codes are updated as reported from DPI. Assists with second party review of meal applications. Other duties as assigned by the School Nutrition Director. Ability to work as a team player.
