Job Title: Child Care Services Specialist (Provider Services) Department: Provider Services Unit Reports To: Supervisor, Payment Programs FLSA Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt Salary Range: $28.84-$30.44 Per Hour Position Summary : The Child Care Services Specialist (Provider Services) is responsible for providing support to the payment portion of the CalWORKs program.

Requirements

  • Transportation is required for this position.
  • Associate of Arts Degree preferred.
  • One to two years’ experience in Case Management or other transferrable skills.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office required.

  • Proven experience utilizing social media platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the calculation of monthly attendance sheets of CalWORKs participants
  • Intake and processing of CalWORKs participants child care providers which includes explanation of policies and procedures
  • Responsible for researching reimbursement inquiries made by child care providers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to provider reimbursements
  • Responsible for ongoing projects, i.e. provider codes and rate worksheets, contracts
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining provider files
  • Responsible for the data entry of information needed on monthly Alameda Assists with processing and maintaining personal and confidential family and agency information
  • Responsible for keeping confidential information safe and secure
  • Perform other duties the Supervisor may assign
