About The Position
Angott Search Group has partnered with a $400 million Michigan-based credit union to find a Chief Technology Officer. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the credit union's technology vision and strategy. The CTO oversees technology infrastructure, digital banking platforms, cybersecurity, data management, and innovation initiatives to ensure secure, efficient, and member-focused solutions. This role requires balancing innovation with compliance, operational excellence, and long-term strategic growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT or technology management.
- Background in financial services, credit unions, or banking technology preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading digital transformation and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Strong leadership competencies, including organizational participation, employee development, and commitment to corporate mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with mission, growth objectives, and member experience priorities.
- Advise the CEO and executive leadership on technology trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Lead digital transformation efforts across online, mobile, and in-branch platforms.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, vendor relationships, and enterprise architecture to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain robust cybersecurity practices in alignment with regulatory requirements and partner with risk, compliance, and audit teams to mitigate IT-related risks.
- Champion data analytics, AI, and automation to enhance decision-making and member engagement.
- Lead digital product development and guide innovation initiatives across all channels.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology team while fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
