About The Position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Guardian's technology systems, products, and data infrastructure to enable business growth, operational excellence, and innovation. This role leads the vision, strategy, and execution of all technology initiatives, ensuring reliable, efficient, and secure technology capabilities across the enterprise. The CTO drives the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), data strategy, and modern engineering practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that advance Guardian's mission to protect what matters most.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, including at least 5 years in an executive or enterprise-level capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing software development, systems architecture, AI/ML implementation, and enterprise data strategy.
  • Proven success leading digital transformation initiatives and scaling technology functions within a complex organization.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, technology contracts, and enterprise platforms.
  • Industry experience in security, monitoring, or technology-enabled service businesses preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with Guardian's business goals, emphasizing AI-driven innovation and data-informed decision making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and the art of what's possible through innovation and automation.
  • Build a high-performance technology organization that emphasizes reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee product engineering, systems architecture, and software development, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of technology products.
  • Drive engineering excellence through modern development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and automation.
  • Ensure uptime, performance, and scalability of all technology platforms.
  • Lead Guardian's AI and data strategy, fostering the use of advanced analytics, automation, and machine learning across business functions.
  • Establish enterprise data governance, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security.
  • Partner with business units to convert data insights into actionable strategies that improve customer experience, operational performance, and profitability.
  • Align IT infrastructure and information systems with the company's strategic goals, ensuring reliability, cybersecurity, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the CIO/IT leadership (if applicable) to ensure seamless operations between business systems, networks, and digital platforms.
  • Champion technology risk management and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing technology team encompassing engineering, systems, data, and IT disciplines.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Transformation to ensure technology supports enterprise objectives.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
