We are looking for a mission-driven, experienced leader with strategic insight and process expertise. These qualities are essential for guiding a diverse and talented team toward achieving our goals. The ideal Chief Operating Officer (COO) will possess the skills, sensitivity, and confidence needed to maximize each team member's contributions to our mission. While the COO must implement efficient and effective systems to enhance the organization's productivity, it is also crucial that the team retains the creative spark that drives the Victory Programs’ Standards of Excellence and Philosophy of Care. The COO will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the agency. This role requires general knowledge in impact evaluation, quality assurance and compliance, procurement, facilities and maintenance, office management, and information technology. Additionally, the ideal candidate will lead the development of new program spaces, including the creation of additional housing sites for individuals exiting homelessness. This involves identifying suitable locations, evaluating project feasibility, and securing financing—offering a meaningful opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community. Therefore, the ideal candidate would consider themselves a “jack of all trades” with the ability to think critically and solve unexpected problems as they arise. Candidates should have a proven background in affordable housing financing resources, a solid understanding of building systems and construction management, and experience in managing infrastructure while providing senior leadership across a growing nonprofit. This expertise will ensure that the candidate feels capable and valued for their specialized knowledge.
