About The Position

Bespoke Labs is an applied AI research lab pioneering data and RL environment curation for training and evaluating agents. Recently, we curated Open Thoughts, one of the best open reasoning datasets used by multiple frontier labs, trained SOTA specialized models such as Bespoke-MiniChart-7B and Bespoke-MiniCheck, and taught agents to do multi-turn tool-calling with reinforcement learning. We work directly with frontier AI labs, as well as leading enterprises. We're looking for a Chief of Staff to partner with the CEO and drive operational excellence as we scale. You'll translate strategy into execution, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and build the systems and processes that enable rapid growth. You'll work on our highest-priority challenges: managing key customer relationships, driving hiring and organizational design, coordinating major deliverables, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. You're someone who thrives in ambiguity, has exceptional judgment, and can context-switch between strategic planning, tactical execution, and people operations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in high-performing environments (top consulting, banking, high-growth startups, or similar)
  • Proven track record driving complex cross-functional initiatives to completion
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and comfort with data/financial models
  • High agency and judgment—you see what needs to happen and make it happen
  • Experience hiring, coordinating teams, or managing people operations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Chief of Staff role at a high-growth startup
  • Experience in AI/ML companies or deep tech
  • Management consulting background (MBB or equivalent)
  • Technical background or ability to engage with technical concepts
  • MBA from a top-tier program

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO on strategic initiatives and key business decisions
  • Manage relationships with frontier labs and enterprise customers; coordinate delivery of major contracts.
  • Lead hiring across functions—sourcing, interviews, closing candidates; manage contractor operations.
  • Design organizational structures, processes, and operating rhythms as we scale from 15 to 40+ people
  • Drive execution of company OKRs and unblock teams by resolving dependencies
