Under the administrative direction of Commissioner Nancy Skinner, the Chief of Staff advises on key decisions before the California Energy Commission, manages the Commissioner's office, and oversees staff and interns. The Chief of Staff works closely with Commissioners, Governor's Office, members of the Legislature, and other government agencies on CEC policy matters, activities and programs. The Chief of Staff consults with the Commissioner and may represent the Commissioner at meetings, public functions and in engagement with external stakeholders. The position also has overall responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing the Commissioner's portfolio and performs other related duties as required.
