About The Position

The Chief of Staff (CoS) at Lila Sciences is a force-multiplier for the Chief Revenue and Product Officer (CRPO) and the executive team. The role exists to increase organizational clarity, execution velocity, and decision quality in a high-ambiguity, AI-driven scientific environment. You operate as an integrator across Revenue, Product, Science, Platform, and Operations—owning the system, not the slide deck. This is a leadership role, not an administrative one. Success is measured by how well the organization makes decisions and executes when you are not in the room. Create leverage for the CRPO by structuring priorities, decisions, and information flow. Increase organizational coherence across execution teams. Translate strategy into execution through clear charters, operating rhythms, and accountability. Surface reality early —risks, misalignment, and second-order effects. You will be successful when: Decisions are made faster and with higher quality. Teams understand priorities and how their work ladders to strategy. Leaders operate effectively without your constant involvement You’re ready to do your next tour of duty in a different role at Lila (~12-24 months) Partner with CRPO on strategy formation, tradeoff framing, and decision prep—pressure-test assumptions, clarify options, document rationale. Ensure strategic intent translates into concrete priorities and simple rules. Own Lila's Science and Platform chartering system; drive portfolio reviews and decision cadence. Ensure teams have clear What / Why / Proof of Success with defined owners. Maintain operating rhythm across Product, Commercial, Science, and Operations. Connect strategy forums to execution forums. Actively shape the CoS Network (Nucleus)—surface misalignment early, reduce coordination drag, and accelerate organizational learning. Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives where ownership is unclear. Create structure, then hand off cleanly. Build trust across Lila by asking questions, seeking to understand the science, and recognizing how teams work together.
