About The Position

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Location: Remote (South Africa or Latin America preferred) Working Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM EST (with flexibility for leadership requirements) Company Overview Our client is a premier agency partner serving the Private Equity (PE) and Investment Banking (IB) sectors. This is a strategic hire designed to shift the company DNA from "sales-first" to "brand-first," ensuring they attract and retain elite institutional clientele through sophisticated market positioning. Role Overview The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be a core member of the leadership team, responsible for architecting the company’s brand identity and scaling their agency business model. This is not a purely execution-based role; it requires a high-level strategist who understands how to build a "pull-based" marketing engine for a service business. The ideal candidate is a creative, proactive leader who has a proven track record of scaling agencies and can integrate deeply into a high-performance, remote culture.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in a marketing leadership role (CMO or Head of Marketing).
  • Direct experience scaling an agency (e.g., SEO, Digital Marketing, or B2B Professional Services) is the top priority for this role.
  • Proven ability to transform sales-driven organizations into brand-led market leaders.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to "build the playbook" rather than just follow one.
  • Proficient in CRM management (Pipedrive preferred) and outreach automation (Lemlist/LinkedIn).
  • Strong alignment with a creative, proactive, and "owner-operator" work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • South African or Latin American candidates with a professional home office setup and a commitment to working U.S. hours are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Brand Transformation: Lead the shift from a sales-heavy outreach model to a brand-led inbound strategy, ensuring messaging resonates with sophisticated PE/IB stakeholders.
  • Agency Scaling & Growth: Apply proven frameworks to scale the agency business model, owning the roadmap for market share expansion and niche dominance.
  • Content & Copywriting Authority: Oversee and execute high-level thought leadership and technical copywriting to establish institutional trust and industry authority.
  • Campaign & Budget Management: Design and manage the total marketing budget, overseeing multi-channel growth campaigns with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
  • Referral Program Development: Build and internalize a systematic referral engine to convert successful client outcomes into a consistent source of high-quality new business.
  • Marketing Tech Stack Optimization: Own and optimize the growth ecosystem, including Pipedrive (CRM), Lemlist (Email Automation), and LinkedIn .
