About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished physician leader at the Associate or Full Professor level (MD or MD/PhD) with significant expertise in Genitourinary (GU) Medical Oncology. This individual will provide comprehensive leadership for the GU Medical Oncology program, overseeing clinical operations across both inpatient and outpatient settings, recruiting and supervising attending physicians, developing clinical pathways, and working in close collaboration with GU Surgery and other interdisciplinary partners to ensure the highest quality patient care. The successful candidate will define and advance the clinical and scientific vision for the Division, with a strong emphasis on clinical research. This includes driving accrual to clinical trials, expanding the Division’s research portfolio, and increasing the overall visibility and market presence of GU oncology programs. A deep commitment to education is essential, as this role involves active participation in the training and mentorship of fellows, residents, advanced practice providers, and faculty. In addition to clinical and educational leadership, the candidate will play an important role in institutional service, contributing to departmental and Roswell Park–wide committees. The position also requires the ability to foster productive collaboration between clinical and laboratory research efforts, both within the Department and across Roswell Park and external partner institutions, with the goal of enhancing the volume, impact, and scientific rigor of translational research. While not required, strong preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of NIH funding and publications in high-impact journals. Physician-scientists with active laboratory programs and transferable funding are especially encouraged to apply. Alternatively, candidates with a demonstrated history of investigator-initiated clinical research and funding will be given serious consideration. Experience in immunotherapy is desirable, along with the ability to develop novel treatments and elevate Roswell Park’s national and international profile in this evolving area of oncology.
