About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to serve as a strategic financial leader across multiple client organizations, providing high-level guidance and driving the execution of growth strategies. You will manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while implementing scalable systems, policies, and controls. The position involves direct engagement with executive teams, supporting business decisions with actionable financial insights, and overseeing key financial operations including cash management, fundraising, and transaction execution. You will lead client-facing initiatives, manage assigned staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services that drive business growth. Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional financial experience, including recent CFO or VP of Finance experience in SaaS or software companies.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, software revenue recognition, and scalable financial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize processes, procedures, and infrastructure to support growth.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills with a proven ability to meet critical business deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; capable of engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred (exam costs reimbursed upon successful completion).

  • Experience leading fundraising efforts at growth-stage companies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a virtual CFO for multiple clients, guiding financial strategy and operational execution.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls, frameworks, policies, and systems to ensure accurate, timely data for planning and reporting.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, provide variance explanations, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, acquisitions, contract negotiations, and other strategic financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients’ sales and executive teams, including legal counsel, on contracts, benefits, and financial processes.
  • Manage and mentor FSM staff assigned to client engagements, ensuring quality deliverables and exceptional client service.
